History
The beautiful gilded chapel includes sculptures by Ceccardo Fucigna and a fine 3-manual organ. The Chapel is non-denominational and there are a variety of services and events held including Choral Evensong from the 1662 prayerbook, Compline and Catholic masses, with music usually playing a central role. Royal Holloway is also the only university that still maintains a tradition of sung morning services.
Chapel Library
The Chapel Library can be found at the north end of the second floor corridor of Founder's East (280) and is stocked with a good selection of books on christianity and theology. Keys may be obtained from one of the Chaplains or the Administrator.
A magnificent chapel occupies the half the north wing – the picture gallery uses the other side. I have a memory of a carol concert there at the end of my first term but very few other memories. The choir members seem to spend a lot of time in there so hopefully there will be some tales to tell and some articles to produce.
